Mestre Ambrósio

As a freelance photographer, I’ve covered major  Festivals in , including Pé no Rock:

Mestre Ambrósio on Pé no Rock

The band was born in 1992, originally with Siba (Sérgio Veloso) on guitar and fiddle, Eder “O” Rocha (Eder Rocha dos Santos-born August 19, 1966) (percussion), Hélder Vasconcelos (keyboards, then percussion and 8 Bass Accordion ). Later Mazinho Lima (electric bass and triangle), Sérgio Cassiano (percussion and vocals), and Mauricio Alves (percussion) joined, the band is based on northeastern music, such as Forró, Maracatu, Coco, Baião, Caboclinho and Ciranda.

The group’s name is a tribute to the master of ceremonies of the popular folkloric theater Cavalo Marinho in Zona da Mata of Pernambuco (Brazil)

The performance was captured during Pé-no-Rock‘s 1999 Edition (Click on the images below for enlargements)
