"Yan Xiaohong, vice-minister of the National Copyright Administration of China (NCAC), said on Thursday at a press conference that the authorities shut down 339 illegal websites, confiscated 123 servers and imposed fines of more than 870,000 yuan (about 120,000U.S. dollars) on violators. China handles 60,000 IPR infringement cases in past 5 years
"China's industry and commerce authorities have handled more than 60,000 intellectual property rights infringement cases amid stepped-up efforts in IPR protection after its entry into the World Trade Organization, according to a senior official.
